My oldest daughter is starting preschool very soon, and she’s been asking me to knit her some new things. The program has a big outdoor component, so I let that be the inspiration for my design. 3-year-olds can have some very strong opinions about clothing, so it was a huge relief when she declared it “not itching” and then begged to wear it on an 80 degree day. Color this mama relieved!
I wrote this in 4 sizes, from baby-adult, since I was sure I’d want to knit one for myself and my younger daughter. The yarn is Trusty, from the Plucky Knitter, in the gorgeous “Old Copper” (I am a sucker for any green-y blues. Or, is it blue-y greens?).
So, here is the Lu Leaf Hat. The pattern is 50% off through August (there’s no code required. the discount will come off automatically at checkout). You can see/purchase it here.
